SAY HELLO TO THE NEW PTA TEAM 9 March 2017 (by Kaite Worlock (vicechair)) |
New faces and a bright future for our wonderful PTA.
We're delighted to confirm that at last night's PTA AGM we successfully filled all the committee vacancies. We would like to say a very big thank you and welcome to Richard Johnston (Treasurer), Joanne Seed (Secretary), Libby Wilcock who has taken over the 200 Club (please buy a number if you haven't already) and Jemma Kay-Baker who stepped up as head of the Fundraising Team whilst retaining her position as vice chair. We're thrilled that Paul Green remains as Chair - his experience will be invaluable to the new team, and Kaite Worlock is staying put to handle comms and marketing as req'd.
So, it's all systems go. Our next event is EASTER BINGO on Friday 24th March and Easter Egg donations are being collected for the next 3 Friday mornings. Our fundraising focus is IT and we're looking to upgrade to i-pads so we've got a serous money-making challenge ahead but we're confident we will succeed with everyones help and support.
It goes without saying that we'd like to say a HUGE THANK YOU and GOOD BYE to all the committee members who have stepped down this time around; Barbara Arch (Secretary - having been Treasurer prior to this), Penny Bates (Treasurer), Sally Bright (200 Club) and last but definitely not least Emma Taylor-Jones who has worked tirelessly with support from key parents as the Fundraising Team leader. We know you'll all still be around to support and advise if necessary - you can't ever escape totally!
