I have been really impressed with the children's attitude towards learning time and beating their score in weekly tests this half term. Well done Year 6! For additional homework for over half term, I have sent home 2 small comprehension tests with targeted questions, a SPaG test with mixed questions, and a SPaG map to support children with learning definitions of word classes. It would also be useful for children to revise their times tables, as this topic occurs throughout many of the SATs questions in their arithmetic and reasoning papers. As this is extra homework set on top of their usual SPaG and maths pages, it is not compulsory, however I do advise that children do as much as they can so they continue to practise answering SATs style questions. The most recent tests that your children have done this week will inform me of where the learning gaps are, so we can revise and cover these topics next half term, either as a whole class or as small group interventions.
