Marton & District C E Aided Primary School

Yesterday saw the Year 3 and Year 4 boys and girls compete in the Macclesfield cross country at Derby Fields. First up were the girls and Ellie D blew the field apart, she led from start to finish and there was very little chance of anyone catching her. Some fantastic running from Vivi D, Casey B and Maddie G gave the team a good score. Next up were the boys, in a really tight finish Thomas W was just pipped into 3rd place. Alfie K and Benedict A ran with real grit and determination and finished with a flourish. Next week is the turn of the Year 5 and Year 6 at Derby Fields. That is followed by a weeks practice at Macclesfield Leisure centre and then the big one, The Macclesfield Championships. Charmaine and Kate are hoping to select teams for the 21st & 28th March tomorrow at cross country club. Therefore if you child would like to be considered for them please make sure they have kit and trainers in school tomorrow. Regards Mr Marks
