Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
What a brilliant week this has been! An email about Uganda week will be going out later but I wanted to thank everyone involved – especially our School Council who have organised such exciting events and to all the staff and Ms Bromley and Mrs Woodmass for being instrumental in leading and planning this week.
Today we have had the pleasure of watching Year 2 perform for their parents during their assembly and we heard all about the Great Kapoc Tree. We all really love the tree they have made too; it’s fantastic!
Children came dressed today in Red, black and yellow the colours of the Uganda flag and Mrs Woodmass sold the remaining film night treats in a tuck shop today. We have decided (by popular demand) to have Tuck Shop Fridays on the last Fridays of the month and children will be running this. The next one will take place on Friday 27th April.
We look forward to seeing you all next week for Parents Evening. If you have been unable to arrange an appointment, please do contact school. Termly reports for parents will also be sent out on Thursday.
Please don’t forget to attend the PTA Easter Bingo on Thursday 29th March. We will be holding another PTA meeting (following the last successful one in November) on Monday 23rd April at 4pm. This was the earliest date we could arrange after Easter and school will provide a crèche. Please do come for a brew and biscuit and lets plan ahead for our wonderful children! All welcome!
