Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
Today has been our Christian Values Day and we have really demonstrated Agape (one of our school core values) effectively. We launched this day with a special assembly by showing the children the photos from our friend Gerry in Uganda and watched a video of the Head teacher thanking Marton school and particularly our special children for their magnificent fundraising. He said 'Your love has changed lives' and we all thought this was incredible! Many thanks to all staff, parents and helpers for making this day so very special.
Today we also held our last Parent Surgery of the school year and discussed various topics. Our school nurse Emma attended and gave some very practical and sound advice regarding Fluenz, height/weight checks etc. She can help families who may need advice and support with bedtime, sleeping, bed wetting and can be contacted at the Children's Centre on 0300 123 4311.
Please note a date for your diaries...Monday 23rd July School Disco 5.45 - 6.45pm KS1 and 7 - 8.30pm KS2 £2.50 entry with drink/crisps provided.
