Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We started today feeling very festive with the launch of our very popular Christmas Shop, Richard Johnston and Year 6 helpers did an amazing assembly – enjoyed by all! It’s definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Kate Johnston and her brilliant elves will be running the Christmas shop all next week. Children will have an allotted class time to come on Monday and the shop will then be open every lunchtime throughout the whole week. All gifts are £1.20 and I know as a parent – just how exciting this week is for children choosing their special Christmas gifts for everyone.
This week’s Friday mountain collection of Christmas items was won by BLUE team, well done Blue Team!
Next week’s Friday collection is something a little different…children are encouraged to come dressed in their own clothes and fill a Jolly Jar (jam jar or any lidded jar) with treats in; these could be sweeties, hair bobbles, cotton wool balls etc. All for the jolly jar stall for our Christmas fair.
Wishing all our beautiful Choir singers a magnificent time tonight at Capesthorne. Very special thanks to Miss Byron, Mrs Arch, Mrs Field and Mrs Cooper for supporting the children so well.
With best wishes for the weekend, Nevin
