Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
The Christmas Shop at school this week has been a great success – children have thoroughly enjoyed purchasing their special gifts and I am sure you will all look forward to opening these soon. Many thanks to Kate Johnston and brilliant helpers; who were just fantastic this week.
Preparations are now well under way for the Christmas fair next Friday. If you can help set up/prepare rooms etc. you are more than welcome to join us from 1pm next Friday. We would like all children to leave school as normal at the end of the day (parents to collect from classrooms) as we would like everyone to enter the fair through the main school entrance. Admission for children is free and for adults is £2.00 entry. If your child WILL still be travelling on the school bus please contact Mrs Bedford to inform her.
Many parents have contacted us regarding play therapy support for children and we are delighted to announce that Jackie from Kickstart will begin working with some families in the New Year. We currently have a waiting list of children who we know would benefit from this therapy and we will work through this list during the term. We will contact you and request parent consent before this therapy starts.
Jackie will also be running an open family support session every Tuesday 8.45 - 9.15am for parents to drop in and ask for advice. This will start on Tuesday 15th January.
Many thanks to parents and friends for the disco last night and for all your Christmas contributions/Jolly jars for the fair – they are just gorgeous! The winning house team this week for Christmas collections were the Blue team. However Green team have won overall this week. Well done folks!
With best wishes for the weekend, Nevin
