A message for Parents and Carers13 March 2019 (by headmarton) |
From the M.E.T Girls!
We are Ellie, Tilly and Maddie in Y5 and we’re doing the Congleton Mayor’s Junior Triathlon. We are raising money for 4 charities:
Ruby’s fund because we want to help children with disabilities to start to learn and have more awareness.
The LOL Foundation because we don’t want people who have fought in the war to protect our country, to be living on the street.
The Christie because we want to try and help prevent Cancer.
Finally, our school Uganda charity. This charity really means a lot to us. Whenever Gerry comes in and does and assembly it really touches your heart and makes you want to do something about it ... so that’s what we did!
I am Ellie and I am doing the running part. I love running and like competing for both school and Macclesfield Harriers, as well as competing in the junior park run most Sundays.
I am Tilly and I love swimming. I used to have swimming lessons with Ellie and Maddie and loved them.
I am Maddie and love cycling. I love going on my bike with my friend and it makes me so excited when we are able to go on family bike rides.
We are holding a Pyjama day on the 29th of March to help raise money for these amazing causes. If every one could bring £1, to wear their pyjamas, that would be very appreciated. Also, if you would like to donate any more and help us get to our target of £1000, please visit our Virgin Money site: uk.virginmoneygiving.com/TheMETGirls.
