A message for Year 610 May 2019 (by headmarton) |
From Mrs Deakin and Staff
Dear Year 6
It really doesn’t seem five minutes ago I was watching lots of you ‘graduate’ from Nursery and now you are preparing to sit your end of Primary school tests! Where has the time gone?
We have watched you grow into the mature, sensible, articulate young people you are today and have had pleasure of being a special part of your lives and we all continue to wish you the very best in all you do.
This weekend, we’d like you to enjoy your days, have fun, play with friends, read a book – anything that will make you enjoy your time with friends and families. We definitely don’t want you to be thinking about SATS next week at all! That’s our jobs to worry!
SATS don’t tell us about your personalities, the things you like, the friends you have, your ideas or what you’d like to do in life. They are a useful measuring tool for schools to use and that’s all.
We are so proud of ALL the work you have done to prepare for these tests and we want the very best for you! School will be open for breakfast club from 8.30am and on Friday we’d like you to come dressed in your own clothes (bring PE kits into school too) so you can have a special day at school.
With all our love,
Mrs Deakin and Staff
