Please support them
Oliver Whittle and Maddie Goodwin became Rose King and Queen of Christ Church Eaton, Cheshire in July and are coming to the end of their current reign. As part of their role they have decided to raise money for three causes, by holding a series of charity events or experiences over the next few months. These causes are: The Christie, Christ Church Eaton and saving to purchase mosquitoes nets for children in Uganda, through their school contact at Marton and District EC primary.
Both Maddie and Oliver were keen to be part of the fundraising themselves; organising, hosting and participating in events to raise money. So far, the two of them have held a mulled wine carol evening and a Christmas hamper raffle. Oliver braved an indoor sky dive on the 17th April, whilst Maddie competed in the Congleton Triathlon, last month, and held a raffle at the Cake and Fizz evening, in September.
As a final fundraising push, they will be completing a joint trek up Snowdown on the 18th May with their sisters, Isla Goodwin and Alice Whittle.
In support of this, the local Tiffin Restaurant, Congleton, Hubbard Building, Manchester Road, have kindly offered to hold a raffle with the prize being a free meal on them. Maddie and Oliver will also be holding another, separate, raffle. Tickets can be purchased from them both directly, at school or at the church service which is held weekly at 9:45am. Prizes include: Pamper Hampers, wine and a voucher for The Plough Inn, to name a few.
Please could you dig deep to help support them in their quest to raise money for these charities and worthy causes?
