Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
What a super start to the new school year this has been.
Everyone has been so enthusiastic and we thank you for attending our Meet the Teacher evening (even with a power cut) on Wednesday. Staff will be uploading their PowerPoint presentations to class pages on the website for your attention. It has been a pleasure to welcome Mr Shaw and Mr Morris to our staff team too.
Many thanks for supporting our new PE uniform change too – the children look amazing in their new House Coloured tops – Well done Maddie (Head Girl) for suggesting this change; we all love it!
I know you have all received a paper copy of the Overview of the school year but wanted to draw your attention to a few dates:
Parents meeting on Thursday 12th @ 9am for children in Year 4 – 6 who are interested in having Communion at school.
On Friday 27th September – we will be holding a Macmillan Coffee morning and Pyjamas day and asking for donations of at least £2.00. This is because we want to honour Mrs Reynolds who was a member of staff and passed away in the summer holidays after a long battle with Cancer. Angie was a magnificent baker and it seems very fitting that we all share a cuppa and cake and think of her on this day. We would like to split all money raised via Macmillan and East Cheshire Hospice so cake donations will be greatly received. ALL parents, friends and families are welcome to join us at 9.15am. Children will be able to bring additional pocket money to purchase cakes too.
Don’t forget after school clubs resume next week.
With best wishes for the weekend
