Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
It has been wonderful to receive such positive sporting news already at the start of this school year. Many thanks to all parents and carers for their support, transporting children to/from events and for sending us some photos as we all love seeing these and the children do too!
We held our first Friends and Family meeting this week and discussed the events for the year ahead, do come along to our next meeting if you would like to get involved or just fancy a cuppa and slice of cake!
We are all looking forward to Bottle Bingo on Thursday 24th October as this is a fun annual family event that we all enjoy. Children will ALL need to come dressed in their Own Clothes on Friday 18th October and are encouraged to bring a bottle of any kind (shampoo, sauce, wine) as ‘payment’ to wear their own clothes. Bottle collections will take place on the Friday morning and there will be a prize for the team with the most house points.
PLEASE do support our F & F – they donate everything back to school for the benefit of your children and we are proud of this relationship. We will next meet on Tuesday 12th November @ 3.45pm.
Don’t forget to book your child’s place for Kickstart holiday club if you need this support asap.
We have a number of events happening before half term – Reception Class Reading and Phonics meeting on Wednesday 2.45pm, Harvest festival on Wednesday 16th 9.15am and Parent Surgery on 18th 9.10am.
Best wishes for the weekend,
