Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
It was a delight this morning to have a very special assembly for the Christmas Shop that will be open next week. Well done to Kate, Janet and Year 6 girls for sharing what’s available to buy with the children today; we were all excited! The Christmas shop is open all day on Monday and then lunchtimes for the rest of the week.
Please don’t forget its Christmas lunch day on Wednesday and our Christmas fair on Friday (starting 2pm) it’s a very busy week indeed!
Special thanks to Tilly, Jack and Parker for all their help this week – they have been beyond kind to others and have received 30 house points for being Santa’s special helpers! Huge thank to Richard and Kate for their generosity too.
Special shout out to F & F for decorating the school hall ready for the Christmas Fair next week. Everywhere looks so pretty!
Save the Date - Grand Day Out - Friday 5th June 2020!
Today we held our monthly parent surgery where I shared details of the special summer event that I am planning for our 50th Birthday….A Grand Day out at the Beach! More information will be shared with you all nearer the time but we want this to be a very special day out, school will fund this trip and there will be no expense to parents and carers. Children will be able to bring a packed lunch (Rachel will also provide school packed lunches for any eligible children and KS1) to have a grand picnic all together. We are planning beach games; rounder’s, sand castle competitions and are hoping for good weather. We intend to take as many parents as possible and will contact you for your help and support nearer the time. Exciting times ahead!
We have also been contacted by a Marton resident to ask if parents/carers can park respectfully on School Lane when waiting to collect children.
Do come and join us on Saturday 4.30pm at Marton Church if you are able, to observe some of our KS2 children receive Communion, both Mrs Field and Miss Copestick are also being confirmed during this service and we are all looking forward to supporting them.
Wishing you all a super weekend, Nevin Deakin
