Reception- homework6 February 2020 (by Lena Owen (lowen)) |
Good evening,
This week has disappeared. We have had a very successful few days in reception. We have been learning about Goldilocks and the three bears and built cottages, wrote about the characters and eaten porridge!
Homework this week is alittle different. Inside your child's blue folder you will find a reading book and a note on it. Please have a look at the phonics focus on the note and then use the book to go on a phonics hunt. You could make a list of the words you find or just read them.
This is to encourage your child to apply their phonics skills in their reading which will have a big impact on their writing. Please can I remind you that the book and focus in suited to your child so please do not compare them with other children.
Next week is the final week before the half term and our story will be the three little pigs so get ready for huffing and puffing!
Thank you
Mrs Owen and Mr Shaw
