Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
We had the pleasure of observing some of our Year 6 girls present an amazing PowerPoint to the whole school on Climate Change on Monday and we all greatly enjoyed this. We have uploaded their presentation onto the website and I hope you will all join me in congratulating them on their hard work. Casey has also launched her crisp packet collection as part of a campaign to recycle. We have registered with TerraCycle and will keep you updated with our school results. It’s clear the children at Marton want to make a difference for their future and we are so proud of them!
We felt further pride this week when we received the letter from the MP Mike Gibb congratulating us on exceptional maths results in last year’s SATS. What an achievement!
Our Year 4 children have had an a amazing time at Robinwood and our thanks extend to them for their behaviour and attitudes on the trip, the staff have all kept us updated and felt so proud of every child and their conduct – THANK YOU parents and carers for supporting us! Huge thanks to Mr Marks, Miss Copestick and Dean for accompanying the children this week too.
Year 2 visited beautiful Swettenham Church and had a super time, thanks to the parents who helped with transport and to Rev Naylor and Mrs Field for arranging this visit.
We hope you will all sign up for the School Lottery that Friends and Family have arranged for everyone, wishing you all good luck too! F & F have organised a fashion show for adults for Tuesday 10th March, please save the date and tell all your friends to come. This will be a super night!
We have planned a further 50th Birthday celebration for this term too, please make a note in your diary for Afternoon tea and a Prayer Garden Service on Friday 3rd April, more details to follow.
