STATEMENT FROM DEAN AND REBECCA
Rebecca and myself are the very proud owners of a company that we have built up from nothing, with 14 amazing employees who give nothing less than 100% every day and which facilitates more than 5000 different activity sessions and provides the education, coaching and childcare for approximately 1600 different children every year.
This past week through the fault of absolutely nobody everything was at risk. We will not lie, we have had no sleep at all these past few days and what has kept us going has been the support, friendship, well wishes and smiles of the amazing school staff & Governors we work with, the wonderful and inspirational children we care for & educate and the supportive and grateful parents and carers. We cannot tell you how much this support has meant and most of you will never know how you lifted us from some very dark moments with just a call, text message, email, a smile or a thank you. It has been this support and the hard work of our staff that has inspired Rebecca and myself in what has undoubtedly been the most challenging few days we have ever faced as a Company.
I am pleased to let you know that we will get through this, we are determined to ride the storm, to work with all of you to beat this dreadful infection that is causing so much pain and misery and we will come out of this stronger.
We have had to take some immediate measures not only to protect the business but to safeguard the wellbeing of our staff. We will with immediate effect be suspending all face to face delivery, so that means no sports coaching, no lunchtime or after school sports clubs and no wrap around or holiday club childcare or play intervention. This measure is a temporary one and initially will be until 31st May 2020 or when schools reopen if that date is sooner. By taking this measure we have been able to retain all of our amazing staff and pay them during the period of our closure by accessing the Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
Do not fear though, Kickstart will still be available to contact and we will be providing a range of online resources and daily challenges to keep everyone active.
There are a lot of challenges facing the Country right now and it is more important now than ever that we all pull together and support one another. Please make sure you follow the Government’s and Public Health Advice so that you and your families stay safe.
