SCHOOL IS CLOSED24 March 2020 (by headmarton) |
24.03.20
Following the latest Government advice regarding the lockdown restrictions, I can confirm that as of lunchtime today, school is closed.
I am so relieved that many parents and children will remain at home, safe and well. This is such an unknown time and I was dreading informing you that someone was ill! I have arranged for school to have a deep clean; whilst children and staff are not on site, this will really help.
UNLESS I hear from you, school will now be closed.
I will continue to keep you all updated and keep in touch as I access emails at home all of the time. Please can I therefore repeat, that unless I hear from you to confirm that both parents are essential key workers and have no other option to use school as a care provision centre – school will remain closed. The advice I am receiving is to ask parents for proof of both family members key roles if you need this provision. Please continue to contact me direct on head@marton.cheshire.sch.uk.
Following Kick-start’s statement to suspend their services till 31st May I am trying to arrange childcare provision for families that may need this during the Easter holidays. Please can you continue to update me if you need this as I may be able to signpost you to alternative providers.
As always your support, friendship and care has meant so much to all of us,
Take care, Nevin
