Weekly news from Mrs Deakin
I hope you all enjoyed the Easter holidays and the glorious weather which has made ‘lockdown’ a little more bearable!
We have all enjoyed engaging with families via Seesaw, so many yummy treats have been baked (and eaten) and the photographs have been a joy to see. We have in our school family.... many ‘star bakers’!
Many thanks to all the parents who have now logged into Seesaw as a parent. You should all now be able to read your children’s spring term reports. If you are having any problems, please email us at school and we will help you. Massive thanks to the staff for producing these over the Easter holidays too.
I can confirm that we have had no children in school this week and Mr Moss is tackling a great many jobs whilst we are all working from home.
Each week I will be going into school and hope to phone some families for a quick chat to see how you are all coping. I really enjoyed talking to so many families this week.
I would also like to reassure you that there is no expectation to complete the school work the staff have set. If you are struggling or children are beginnning to worry, please stop the school work and find alternative activities; in the garden, BBC bitesize or online for children to do. We do not want any families to feel pressure in completing tasks. I know many of you are also trying to work from home and this is challenging when home schooling your own children too.
I’m trying to keep my home life to a routine as I find that works for us as family but please do what you feel is best for you and your children. PLEASE contact me if you need someone to talk to, are worried about things or if children are feeling anxious. You are not alone.
Please keep our Marton families and friends who have now been diagnosed with Covid19 in your thoughts and prayers.
Keep safe and well, Nevin
